GRASS ROOTS DRAG RACING IN INDIANA IS THE FOCUS OF NEW REALITY SHOW
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Terre Haute, Ind.
MMY Productions, the Indiana based television production company behind the hit shows Junk’d (www.junkd.tv) and The Green House Project (www.greenhouseproject.tv), has signed on to produce and distribute a show about drag racing in Indiana.
MMY’s president, Brad Hauter, explained the move. “For the last year we have been working with the Speed network on a show called Pinks All Out and recently with Fox and the NHRA on another project called Unleashed. It was during this time that we began to develop a great appreciation for the sport of drag racing and the Grassroots racer. Indiana has always had a strong connection to motor sports and we felt it would provide a perfect backdrop for the new show.”
The show, titled Life at the Crossroads, is being produced in a manner similar to Cake Boss and Billy the Exterminator. We will follow the day to day events at an Indiana Drag Way. Hauter added “The stories each week will focus on the racing but also will cover all of the elements that go into running a track, working in the pits, and life in the midway. The stars of the show will be the drivers and the fans each week and the passion they have for their sport.”
The first episode will be shot on October 30th at the Crossroads dragway in Terre Haute (http://www.crossroadsdragway.com/Crossroads_Dragway/Home.html) The remaining 12 episodes will be shot through the spring and summer of 2011 with episodes hitting the air nationally next summer.
“We project the show to be like no other racing show on the air. Our experiences with Pinks and Unleashed have provided us with a great foundation and we are excited to get started.” Said Hauter.
“We know we will draw drivers from across the Midwest but hope we get a solid showing of Indiana drivers to make sure a Hoosier wins the first event. We encourage all drivers and racing fans to join us on October 30th to be a part of the show… After all the drivers and the fans are the stars of this show.”
The gates open at 9:30 on the 30th with time runs at 11:30 and racing at 2:30. To register as a driver or secure a ticket to the event contact Randy Peters @ 765.592.1227.
