*****UPDATE - As of 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 26th there are less than 10 spots available for this weekend.*****
To reserve your spot for Friday, May 29th and/or Saturday, May 30th you must follow these instructions. Send an e-mail to email@example.com and put “I want to race!” in the subject line. In the e-mail you need to state the racer’s name and the one crew member’s name that will be coming in with you. (Remember, Junior Dragsters are allowed 2 crew per family) Please tell us what day/days, Friday or Saturday or both, you plan to be on site. The first 85 names will get a return e-mail with a confirmation number. After the first 85 have been received a post will be put on Facebook stating the sessions are full. At this time, we will begin to send out the confirmation e-mails. We will then start a waiting list with any other e-mails that are received. Priority will be given to those who entered the points at the banquet until Saturday, May 23rd at 9 a.m. If you have a confirmation number and can’t attend for some reason please reply to the confirmation e-mail and cancel your reservation so we can let someone else come in. Please do not text or call to reserve your spot. E-mails will be the only way a reservation will be confirmed. Remember, these are closed sessions and no spectators will be allowed on site. There will be someone at the gate checking the list and if a name is not on it, that person will not be allowed to enter the gates. This is not what a track operator wants to do, but we are still under limitations and in order to get fully opened we need to follow the guidelines. In the confirmation e-mail you will also have attachments YOU WILL NEED TO PRINT THESE OFF AND TURN IN WHEN YOU ENTER THE GATE. One will be the Covid-19 insurance waiver and the other will be a list of guidelines you are agreeing to follow. These 2 papers must be on file for you to participate and/or be on the property. In the weeks ahead when we start allowing spectators they will also need to turn in both these forms. The forms will also be available on the website in a few days. A couple things that will make it easier for your entry into the track will be for you to have the correct change and please bring your own ink pen. We also ask that you have a mask with you as you enter the gate and any time you are in close proximity of our employees or other racers. We may ask to take your temperature before you enter the facility. PLEASE – if you have been sick, running a fever or experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms - stay home. Our employees will be following the CDC PPE guidelines. We will have hand sanitizer available, but we suggest you also bring your own for use in your car and trailer. The Track Snack Concession stand will not be open until further notice. The bleachers will not be available for use. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE BUT EMPLOYEES WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE TOWER. IF YOU NEED AN ET TICKET OR HAVE AN ISSUE YOU WILL NEED TO FIND RANDY OR TAMI TO HELP YOU. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS. We will have VP 110 and VP M-1 for sale.
These are the basic guidelines we will be asking you to follow. More detailed information will be in the Crossroads Dragway Social Distancing Covid-19 waiver and the NHRA Communicable Disease Spectator/Crew and Participant Release you will need to sign. These waivers will be good for the 2020 season. You will still be required to sign the weekly participation waiver at the front gate for every event. Thank you for your patience. We have tried to get the most concise and accurate information out to you in a timely manner. We look forward to getting back to “normal” operations in the next few weeks.
***ALSO, PIT SPOT PAYMENTS ARE DUE ON SATURDAY, MAY 30TH. YOU CAN MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO PAY, IF YOU ARE NOT TESTING, BY E-MAILING firstname.lastname@example.org.***
Also, ALL RACERS please remember to enter through the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds and come north to enter the Crossroads Dragway main gate. Racers should not be entering between Chick-Fil-A and Walgreens. This causes too much back up and is not fair to the ones who have been setting in the correct line waiting patiently. This also allows those of you who arrive early to park/stack in the grassy area in front of the facility. When parking/stacking, please do not block the drive thru entrance/exit of Chick-Fil-A or the gate to enter Crossroads Dragway so our employees can enter.
